How the certification process works end to end, from application to issuing the certificate, including decision points.

Certification Process Flow

The certification process consists of receiving the application, a preliminary review, the exam, independent evaluation of the results and the decision. The flow chart of the process is shown below (in Turkish).

Certification process flow chart: certification request, receipt and evaluation of the request, exam schedule and MYK notification, conducting and evaluating exams, decision; delivery of the MYK Vocational Qualification Certificate to successful candidates, and action according to the reason for unsuccessful or rejected requests.

Process Stages

  1. ApplicationThe candidate chooses the appropriate national qualification and submits documents online or in person.
  2. Preliminary ReviewWe check application conditions, prerequisites and documents.
  3. PlanningThe exam date and location are set and suitable examiners / assessors are assigned.
  4. ExamTheoretical (T1) and performance-based (P1) exams are administered impartially.
  5. AssessmentExam results are reviewed against objective criteria by independent assessors.
  6. DecisionThe certification decision is made by decision maker(s) not involved in the process.
  7. CertificationSuccessful candidates receive an MYK Vocational Qualification Certificate.
  8. SurveillanceSurveillance and recertification are tracked throughout the certificate's validity.
